ARMSEYE ACCEPTS PITCHES ON A ROLLING BASIS
ARMSEYE Magazine is focused on collaboration and providing a platform for bringing together a wide variety of visual arts communities through discussions on contemporary art.
We are committed to expanding opportunities for emerging and mid career artists, writers, and curators, supporting them in pushing visual art discourse forward. ARMSEYE is interested in providing a record of these discussions, and seeks arts professionals who wish to widen the scope and direction of contemporary art with their work. One of our goals in doing this is to support artists from groups who have been historically (and presently) underrepresented in galleries, museums, arts education, and history books. Another purpose we strive to fulfill is to create a record which covers non-traditional, conceptual, ephemeral, community oriented, time based, and textual art.
ARMSEYE was created with the belief that providing a platform for many voices to be heard, represented, and recorded must happen in order to push art forward and to provide a wider understanding of grass roots arts projects and communities. These do not only exist in the arts epicenters of the world where art is sold, funded, and written about most. They also exist in smaller cities and rural areas. They exist in apartment galleries, studio spaces, and warehouses, often without funding. ARMSEYE seeks to record and to educate readers about these projects artists and to accomplish all of this, we need your help!
